Tiny Town Team
Meet The Tiny Town Team
Your children matter to us, and that’s why Tiny Town Day Care is staffed by the best team of well-educated and experienced professionals, who all meet and exceed NYSDSS requirements for education and experience, and have been passed by NY State Central Clearance Register (for child abuse and maltreatment). We have proudly been awarded with the Lowest Staff Turn Over in the Capital District.
Jackie Congdon is a mom of three. She has over 30 years of experience directing this NYS Licensed day care center, and she loves serving quality care to local families and watching children grow in a positive and fun learning environment.
Assistant Director/Pre-K Teacher
Karen Chase has over 25 years of experience in our daycare setting. She loves her position as our lead Pre-K teacher and Assistant Director. Karen is a very nurturing teacher and has successfully graduated generations of our Pre-K class, who have gone on to have a very successful Kindergarten year and beyond.
Lead INF II Teacher
Lisa has over 25 years of experience in the daycare setting. She is our lead Infant II teacher and has been with Tiny Town since 2006. Lisa always has a positive attitude and smiling face. She really knows how to make our families and their children feel welcome.
Infant I Teacher
Kim worked at Tiny Town way back in our early years before moving to Georgia. After coming back to New York, she rejoined our team in 2010. We treat our staff as family which is why Kim’s granddaughter has attended all 5 years with us at Tiny Town. Kim is gracious, kind, and nurturing which is why all the babies love her.
Infant I Teacher
Chris has been with Tiny Town since 2005! She is the one we trust to open the center each day. She is a mom of three herself, her eldest son, Jake, works for us as well and is so great with all the children. Chris has lots of experience in infant care, she is a great resource for new parents, if you have any questions she is the one to ask!
Program Registered Nurse/Assistant Teacher
Kaleigh is Jackie’s daughter, she attended Tiny Town as a child and started working here in 2010. Over the years she attended Utica College and got her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. Kaleigh loves working part-time in our program, with lots of experience and her versatility. She is great with all our age groups and is happy to help anywhere she can.
Infant II Teacher
Jenn came to us while working on her Associates degree in Early Childhood Education from SCCC and has since successfully completed the program. She has been, and continues to be, a wonderful asset to our program and has spent time in almost all our classrooms and has settled nicely into our Infant II room. Jenn brings lots of new ideas and creative activities for our babies to experience.
Yami is a hard worker with daycare experience and is a mom to two boys. Yami is a teacher that knows all the children in our center and all the children love her. She is always willing to lend a helping hand in any of our rooms and loves especially working with our Toddler group.
Sam was referred to us through our Infant I Teacher, and her mother-in-law, Chris. Sam has worked several years in daycare and hit the ground running in our Toddler room. She is a loving mother of two and has lots of love, compassion, and patience. Sam loves leading circle time and singing songs, which our toddlers love!
Abigail is Jackie’s daughter-in-law, she grew up with younger siblings and has always been around children. She graduated with her Bachelors degree from Siena College and comes to Tiny Town with an easy-going and fun-loving personality that all the children and families gravitate towards. Her daughter also attends our program, making Tiny Town a real family affair!
Katie has over 7 years daycare experience, 5 years of nannying, and an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education. Katie’s greatest strength is creating a curriculum and environment where our Preschoolers thrive. She works hard to teach her class about topics that interest them, as well as prepare them for our Pre-K program.
Jess came to Tiny Town with an Associates degree in Human Services and has several years of daycare experience. She is reliable, consistent and friendly and a wonderful addition to our Tiny Town team.
